blowup

Hey! Everybody fights sometime. Jessie and Evan learned how quickly a fight can turn into an all-out war. Here’s this week’s true story of a big blowup and how it could have been avoided.

Blowup of the Week

Annalea, from Colorado

It all started at recess. My friends and I were playfully chasing some of our friends who were boys, and one of them invited another boy to join in. Well, that new boy called me a loser and made an "L" sign on his forehead, so I got steaming mad and started screaming, "Shut up! I don't care about you at all!" Then I stormed away. My friends tried to make me feel better. I ignored those boys for hours during school time.

I could have just told an adult to stop the fight or privately spoke with them about the situation, but I was too mad.
