U.S. News and World Report posted an article on it's Money: Personal Finance blog that listed The Lemonade War as one of the top five books to teach kids about money.

The winner of the third annual Great Lemonade War Contest is Spotsylvania Middle School in Spotsylvania, Virginia. The school raised $11,271 for Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, which raises money to fund cancer research for kids.

The International Reading Association posted an article by Jacqueline Davies on its Reading Today Online blog entitled "Teach Math, Business, and More with The Lemoande War."

The Books For Kids blog of former librarian Glenda Childress reviewed The Magic Trap: "...in this fifth book Davies shows that rare ability of the best of children's authors, to create plots in which their characters grow and change in a way completely true to themselves. Beverly Cleary had that ability, and it is with all reverence that I can say Jacqueline Davies has it, too..."

Booklist reviewed The Magic Trap in it's April 1, 2014, edition and wrote: "The series’ many fans won’t want to miss this one."

The Magic Trap received a starred review from Kirkus Books.

Both The Magic Trap and La guerra de la limonada were named Junior Library Guild Selections.

The fifth and final book in The Lemonade War series has been released (April 1, 2014). The Magic Trap follows Evan and Jessie as they try to put on a magic show, even as a hurricane approaches.

The Spanish language edition of The Lemonade War is now available, titled La guerra de la limonada.
